The power factor of the RLC circuit is depended on the value of inductor, capacitor and resistance. If the inductance is higher than the capacitance then the power factor will be always lagging in nature. If the capacitance is higher than the inductance then the power factor will be always leading in nature. But due to the presence of resistor the angle between the circuit voltage and current cannot be 90° at all it will be always less than 90°.
