m1v1m2v2=(m1+m2)um_1v_1-m_2v_2=(m_1+m_2)u

The speed of blocks after collision

u=m1v1m2v2m1+m2=34353+3=0.5m/su=\frac{m_1v_1-m_2v_2}{m_1+m_2}=\frac{3*4-3*5}{3+3}=-0.5\:\rm m/s

The velocity is directed leftward.
