Given 2 containers both filled with water. Container A has hot water wile B has cold one, what will happen to its temperature if you put the 2 containers in close contact?

When we put the two containers in close contact, they will reach thermal equilibrium, the final temperature will be lower than the temperature was in the hotter container but warmer than it was in the cooler container.
