ropes as shown in the figure below. Two of the ropes

make angles of θ1=60o

and θ2=30o with the

horizontal. If the system is in equilibrium, find the

tensions T1, T2 and T3 in the ropes.

$$T_1=\frac{W\cos{\theta_2}}{\sin{(\theta_1+\theta_2)}}$$

$$T_1=\frac{1000\cos{30}}{\sin{90}}=866\ N$$
