Two 80-Ω resistors are connected in series with 0.15 A flowing through them? Find
(a.) Total Resistance (Rtotal)
(b.) Voltage drop (Vt) across resistors
(c.) Current through the circuit
1) Total resistance for resistors, connected in series is the sum of the resistances. Hence, "R = 80 \\Omega + 80 \\Omega = 160 \\Omega".
2) From Ohm's law, "U = I R = 0.15 A \\cdot 160 \\Omega = 24 V".
3) Current through the circuit is "0.15 A".
