Answer to Question #152901 in Physics for Kalavathi Kavandar

Question #152901
You have just got down at a railway station with a 25 kg luggage from a train. Luckily for you, the overbridge is just few feet away from where you got down and as a bonus, it is not a staircase but just an incline. The height of the overbridge is 15 feet and the distance you travel to reach the top of the overbridge is 25 feet. You happened to tilt the chain attached to your luggage parallel to the incline from the point of alighting at the railway platform to the top of the overbridge.

Case 1: You dragged the luggage at a constant acceleration of 1 m/s^2. Will the force with which you dragged it, also remain constant? If not, what is the variation? Take coefficient of kinetic friction between the luggage and surface as 0.2.

Case 2: You dragged the luggage by applying a constant force of 5 N. Will the magnitude of the acceleration also remain constant? If not, what is the variation? Take coefficient of kinetic friction between the luggage and surface as 0.2.
