Answer to Question #134321 in Physics for crystal

Question #134321
My uncle Garry bought himself a fishing boat which is 6.4 m long, has a mass of 2000 kg
and has a 175 hp motor. When test driving the boat on a 20º C day he was trying out the
GPS and it indicated that at full throttle (and power) it has a top speed of 60 km/h.

If uncle Garry has anchored over an underground electricity cable (we’ll pretend its DC) with a
(conventional) current heading due east, which direction will the compass on his boat indicate that he
is headed if the boat is pointed due north? Does the direction of the boat have any significance?
