The definition of the temperature is: the manifestation of thermal energy, present in all matter, which is the source of the occurrence of heat, a flow of energy, when a body is in contact with another that is colder.

This means, that a flow of energy occurs only if bodies with different temperatures are brought into contact. As far as in our question both ice and water have the same temperature, there will now any flow of energy and the temperature will not change.
