at twin boundary the orientation difference between adjacent parts of the crystal is as large as that at a grain boundary.yet the twin boundary energy are in the range of 0.01 to0.05jm^-2 as compared to grain boundary energies in the range of 0.02 to 0.06 Jm^-2.what is the reason for this difference

The reason for such a noticeable difference is that grain boundaries are placed at certain angles and the atomic misfit is present. The twin boundaries are at larger angles (compared to grain boundaries) without atomic misfit.
