Beer–Lambert law describes how the laser radiation decreases as the thickness of a medium increases. Therefore, me must take this into account because depending on a medium, the attenuation of the laser signal can be so strong that it will influence the results of experiment or decrease the signal strength so that it will be impossible to convert it.

The rate of spontaneous emission to the stimulated emission in the sun is an experimental value greater than unity.

Laser action is possible in sun but for very short periods of time.
