What would happen to the intensity of light as the angle between the polarizer and the analyzer increases?

Intensity after the analyzer is given by the Malus's law:


"I=I_0cos^2\\theta"

where θ - angle between analyzer and polarizer.

We see, that intensity is maximal at θ=0, and it decreases when the angle increases.
