Distance of object d0=16cm.

a) using lens formula

"\\frac{1}{f}=\\frac{1}{d_0}+\\frac{1}{d_i}"

Putting all values

"d_i=\\frac{d_0f}{d_0-f}"

Putting all values

"d_i=\\frac{16\\times28}{16-28}=-37.3cm"

b) magnification power

"=-\\frac{d_i}{d_0}\\\\=-\\frac{-37.3}{16}\\\\=2.33"
