lens formula


1v1u=1f\frac{1}{v} - \frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{f}


1v=1u+1f\frac{1}{v} =\frac{1}{u}+\frac{1}{f}


Putting values


1v=135+117.5\frac{1}{v} =\frac{1}{-35}+\frac{1}{17.5}



1v=5+10175\frac{1}{v} =\frac{-5+10}{175}



V=35cm\boxed{V = 35cm} i.e image distance
