Diffraction: When a ray of light passing through the edge of the object then it gets bend. This phenomenon of bending of light at the edge is called the diffraction of light.

Interference:

When two waves are gets interfere and if the trough or crest meat then the amplitude will become greater but if the trough and crest meet, then the resultant amplitude of the wave get reduce. That is called the interference of wave.
