Ice, in water absorbs heat from water, results a decrease in water temperature. As the heat lost by water is absorbed by ice, leaving the water ice system with same heat.then how does the temperature decrease?

The heat taken from the water is spent on melting part of the ice and subsequently heating the melted part of the ice, equalizing its temperature with the rest of water. This reduces the water temperature.
