Solution

For first case

Required time

t1=va=151.2=12.5sect_1=\frac{v}{a}\\=\frac{15}{1.2}\\=12.5sec

Now for second case

t2=va=151.5=10sect_2=\frac{v}{a}\\=\frac{15}{1.5}\\=10sec

So total time required

t=t1+t2=12.5+10=22.5sect=t_1+t_2\\=12.5+10=22.5sec
