Question #277236

Solution;

Given;

"V_1=V_2=0.2m^3"

"P_1=100kPa"

"T_1=T_2=15\u00b0c=288K"

From Ideal gas laws;

"PV=mRT"

Where R for nitrogen is "296.8 J\/kgK"

The initial mass is;

"m=\\frac{PV}{RT}=\\frac{100\u00d70.2}{0.296\u00d7288}=0.2346kg"

After nitrogen addition;

"m_2=0.2+0.2346=0.4346kg"

There pressure is calculated as;

"P=\\frac{mRT}{V}=\\frac{0.4346\u00d7296.8\u00d7288}{0.2}=185.748kPa"
