a vertical cylindrical tank, 80 cm long has its top end closed by a thin, very light frictionless piston having the same diameter as that of the cylinder. The air inside is at normal pressure. Mercury is slowly poured over the top of piston. how far will the piston descend before the mercury spills over the top of the cylinder?
