Rotational kinetic energy a part of total kinetic energy due to the rotation around some particular axis. It can be calculated by the formula

E=Iω22\displaystyle E = \frac{I \omega^2}{2}

Here II stands for moment of inertia of the body, ω\omega is angular velocity.
