from the formula

v2v02=2asv^2-v_0^2=2\cdot a \cdot s

Where

v0=1.5m/sv_0=1.5 m/s -starting speed

a=15m/s2a=15m/s^2 -acceleration

s=3ms=3 m -the distance the dog ran

define vv

v=2as+v02=2123+1.52=8.617m/sv=\sqrt{2\cdot a\cdot s\cdot + v_0^2}=\sqrt{2\cdot 12\cdot 3\cdot + 1.5^2}= 8.617 m/s
