(a) The magnitude of its acceleration is equal to

"\\frac {5-2}{1.5}=2"

Answer

2 m/s2

(b) We can write

"2as=v_{2}^2 - v_{1}^2 (1)"

In our case, we have

V2= 5.0 m/s

V1= 2.0 m/s

a=2 m/s2

Using (1) we get

s=5.25 m

Answer

5.25 m
