Question #34898

what is it called when the net force is not zero

Expert's answer

What is it called when the net force is not zero

**Solution:**

The net force is the vector sum of all the forces acting on an object. A net force is also called the total force, resultant force, or unbalanced force. When the net force is not zero, the body leaves an equilibrium state. The acceleration is not equal to zero and the velocity is not constant, becomes effective Newton's second law: the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass.

So, when the net force is not zero, it is called as disequilibrium.
