$$sin\theta_r=\frac{n_isin\theta_i}{n_w}$$

$sin\theta_r=\frac{sin40°}{1.33}\times1.40$

$sin\theta_r=0.7145$

$\theta_r=sin^{-1}(0.7145)$

$\theta_r=48°$
