let x is the distance traveled by the train 1 and 18000 - x is the distance traveled by train 2 , before they pass each other ,( here distance is measured in meters)


time taken by the train 1 to travel x distance is = x35 seconds{x \over35 } \ seconds


time taken by the train 2 to travel 18000-x distance is = 18000x25 seconds{18000-x \over25} \ seconds


as both train meet at same time , therefore traveled time will be same for both

    \implies

x35=18000x25{x \over35 } ={18000-x \over25}


x = 10500 metres


therefore time duration = 1050035{10500\over35 }

= 300 seconds answer\boxed{300 \ seconds } \ answer
