If the normal pushing force of 25 LBS is required to push a wheel chair on a level floor for 160 lbs patient, calculate the pushing force of the wheelchair carrying 160 LBS weight when the ramp angle is 20 degrees.

We require 25 lbs normally

But if the ramp is incline than

We have to manage some extra forces




We know value of g (gravitational constant)= 10N

And also we know that "1N = 0.224 lbs"

So "10N = 2.24 lbs"


Now

we require force

That is

Force component by patient weight + force component of g + force required before

"\\boxed{= 80.16 lbs}answer"

to take the wheel chair up the incline ramp.
