Third equation of motion gives the final velocity of an object under uniform accelaration, given the distance travelled and initial velocity.


i.e v2=u2+2aSv^2=u^2+2aS is the third equation of motion.


v=v= final velocity

u=u= initial velocity

a=a= acceleration.

S=S= displacement.
