solution:-(a)

(1) displacement:-

displacement is the straight line length travelled by the particle or a body between two points.( P to Q) .displacement is vector quantity .

(2) velocity :-

ratio of displacement and time taken during motion is known as velocity of the particle.generally it is indicated by (v).its a vector quantity.

"v=\\frac{dx}{dt}"

(3) acceleration:-

acceleration is the ratio of change in velocity to the time interval .its indicated by ( a ) and also a vector quantity.


"a=\\frac{dv}{dt}"

(4) distance:-

the path length travelled by moving particle during its motion in any given time interval.its a scalar quantity.which is shown in figure.


(5) speed :-

speed is the ratio of distance to the time taken during motion.this is scalar

quantity.

b)

solution:-

if any particle or body constrained to travel along any path then that particle can not escape from this path.for example when a particle is moving in circular path then particle is constrained to its radius.
