A scale reads 272 N when a piece of brass is hanging from it. What does it read (in N) when it is lowered so that the brass is submerged in water?

As per the question,

The reading of the scale is 272N

When we submerged it in the water, then due to the thrust force, the reading of the spring will get reduce, by "272N-F_b"

So spring will read less with respect to 272N.
