With a higher number of turns, the coil length is longer, and thus the material used to carry the current is more dense, and thus the magnetic field is more powerful because additional current is flowing through the solenoid due to the more turns. The galvanometer deflection is proportional to the current flowing through the coil. This means that can increase in the number of windings the bigger the deflection in the galvanometer and vice versa
