Ohm's Law states that the amount of electric current throught the metal conductor in the circuit is directly proportional to the voltage across it. It can be written mathematically as follows:

$$V=IR,$$

here, $V$ is the voltage across the conductor, $I$ is the current through the conductor, $R$ is the resistance of the conductor.
