A plane electromagnetic wave with the direction of wave propagation along xx axis is described by the following equation

(1) E(t,x)=z^Eacos(wtkx)\vec E(t,x)=\hat z E_acos(wt-kx), where k=2πλk=\frac{2\pi}{\lambda} is a component of wave vector in xx direction. In our case k=10πk=10\pi, thus 2πλ=10π\frac{2\pi}{\lambda}=10\pi and λ=15=0.2m\lambda=\frac{1}{5}=0.2 m.

Answer: The task statement is false. It is true λ=0.2m\lambda=0.2m .
