Explain the factors playing important role in the choice of intermediate frequency
(IF) in radio communication.

When one chooses the intermediate frequency, she or he must consider the following:

Filters in radio communication are effective on narrow bandwidths, because narrow bandwidths provide better sensitivity and selectivity;

Electronics does not work effectively at high frequencies (GHz for example) because of skin-effect;

It is hard to design an amplifier that would work efficiently on broad range of frequencies, so it's much better to construct an amplifier for one frequency.
