Rectification efficiency is given by, ρ= (DC output power)/(Input AC power) This efficiency is high for full wave rectifier than half wave rectifier as number of diodes are less in half wave rectifier as compared to full wave rectifier. So, rectification efficiency is proportional to number of diodes used in rectifier circuit.
Answer: Yes it is true that rectification efficiency is proportional to number of diodes used in rectifier circuit but it is optimized.
