IR drop across resistor means there is a change in potential or voltage across the resistor due to current flowing through the resistor. According to Ohm’s law, V = RI Where, V= voltage across the resistor R = resistance I = current Now, we know R is constant. And for a particular resistance, current depends on applied voltage. So, when current passes through a resistor, no change in current seen unless we change the resistance.
