current drawn by the circuit?

Solution;

From Ohms law;

V=IR

Where ;

V is Voltage, I is current and R is resistance.

From the equation;

I=VRI=\frac VR

In series connection;

RT=R1+R2+...R_T=R_1+R_2+...

RT=4Ω+6Ω=10ΩR_T=4\Omega+6\Omega=10\Omega

Hence the current drawn is;

I=VRT=1210=1.2AI=\frac V{R_T}=\frac{12}{10}=1.2A

Answer;

1.2A
