Two resistors of 4Ω & 6Ω are connected in series and then to a 12v source. How much is the total
current drawn by the circuit?
Solution;
From Ohms law;
V=IR
Where ;
V is Voltage, I is current and R is resistance.
From the equation;
"I=\\frac VR"
In series connection;
"R_T=R_1+R_2+..."
"R_T=4\\Omega+6\\Omega=10\\Omega"
Hence the current drawn is;
"I=\\frac V{R_T}=\\frac{12}{10}=1.2A"
Answer;
1.2A
