How long it will take to fully charge the capacitor?

The capacitor discharging equation is given by-

$q=q_o(1-e^{-\frac{t}{RC}})$

In Practical Capacitor can never be fully charged or discharged.

But for practical purpose

It was assume that at time constant $(\tau=RC)$ is $5\tau$ then the capacitor is 99% charged.

Hence At time ($t=5\tau=5RC)$ , It was assume that the capcitor is fully charged.
