If the cells are in parallel, e.m.f=1.5ve.m.f = 1.5v

find effective resistance, RER_{E}

1RE=11+11=2\frac{1}{R_{E}}=\frac{1}{1}+\frac{1}{1} =2 Ω\Omega

RE=1/2=0.5R_E = 1/2=0.5

I=vRE=1.50.5=3AI = \frac{v}{R_E} = \frac{1.5}{0.5} = 3A
