Answer to Question #117538 in Electric Circuits for pescales

Question #117538
1. A bar magnet falls through a circular loop.
a) Describe qualitatively the change in magnetic flux through the loop when the bar magnet is above and below the loop.
b) Make a qualitative sketch of the graph of the induced current in the loop as a function of time, choosing I to be positive when its direction is counterclockwise as viewed from above.

As per the given question,

Bar magnet is falling inside the circular loop, per the given diagram,

as per the bar magnet is moving towards the loop then the flux is gettting increase because the more number of magnetic field lines getting pass through the loop so emf will get induce in the coil and also it start to reduce the speed of the magnetic bar due to the opposite force and when it passed from the loop, then the magnetic field of lines will get reduce from the loop due to which the there will be developed the opposite the pole in the loop which will again start to attract the magnetic bar due to which its speed again start to decrease. and emf will get develop inside the loop.
