I have a parallel circuit attached to a simple circuit. The resistors in the parallel circuit are 20 ohms and then 2 resistors next to each other which are 20 & 40 ohms with .1A next to it. There is a 15 ohm resistor in the simple circuit attached to it. The Volt is unknown. Calculate the total current I and the total voltage V.

$V_1=(20+40)\cdot0.1=6V$

$V_1=V_2=6V$ , $I_2=6/20=0.3A$

So, we have

$I_{total}=I_1+I_2=0.3+0.1=0.4A$ Answer.

$R_{total}=15+\frac{20(20+40)}{20+20+40}=15+15=30\Omega$

$V_{total}=30\cdot 0.4=12V$
