1. Sketch two identical linear magnets with the following orientations of their magnetic poles:
a) S – N and N – S, b) S – N and S – N
If the axes of the magnets are in the same straight line, draw the magnetic field lines for the two magnets.

This pictures clearly depicts how like poles repel each other and unlike poles attract each other
