Imagine two tractors: one can plow a 60-acre field in one hour and second can plow 100 acres in one hour. Which one is more powerful? Of course the second. The same with bulbs: one converts 60 joules of electrical energy into radiation within one second, and the other converts 100 joules of electrical energy into radiation in one second. Why am speaking about joules in the context of watts? Because power (measured in watts) equals work (joules) over time (seconds):
