Why after gaining external force balls hanging uniformly from different strings are oscillating in different directions from the state of equilibrium.

In order to conserve the energy and momentum, and to maintain the net vector sum of force to be zero, the acting force on the ball to be in different direction. In order to manage the condition of unstable equilibrium to stable equilibrium, the forces are resolved in different directions.
