applying formula v2u2=2aSv^2-u^2=2aS

here a=-0.2 m/s2 , v=0 m/s , S=1000 m and u=?

substituting in the formula we get

0u2=2×(0.2)×1000=400m/s0-u^2=2\times(-0.2)\times1000=400m/s

u=20m/s

The maximum speed the train can have is 20m/s
