Question: Which power is used in nuclear weapon?

Answer: The energy of induced nuclear fission is used in nuclear weapons.

The chain reaction of the uranium or plutonium fission take place during the explosion. It's possible when the mass of the radioactive isotope is larger than a critical mass.

Chaine reaction: A nuclear chain reaction occurs when one nuclear reaction causes an average of one or more nuclear reactions, thus leading to a self-propagating series of these reactions. The specific nuclear reaction may be the fission of heavy isotopes (e.g. 235U^{235}\mathrm{U} ). The nuclear chain reaction releases several million times more energy per reaction than any chemical reaction [1].
