Rest energy of proton is mc2=938MeVmc^2=938 MeV

Speed of proton is v=0.68cv=0.68c

The expression for the relativistic momentum of proton is

p=1(1βˆ’(vc)2)mvp=\frac{1}{\sqrt(1-(\frac{v}{c})^2)} mv

=1(1βˆ’(0.68cc)2)(938MeV/c2)(0.68c)=\frac{1}{\sqrt(1-(\frac{0.68c}{c})^2)} (938 MeV/c^2)(0.68 c)

=869.9MeV/c=869.9 MeV/c

=870 MeV/c
