speed propagation of a wave can be found by;

v=Ftμ|v|=\sqrt\frac{F_t}{\mu}

where FrF_r is tension in the string while μ\mu is the mass per length of the string.

v=1203×102=632.46m/s|v|=\sqrt\frac{120}{3\times10^{-2}}=632.46m/s
