a) Classroom Practice

Ubuntu is the capacity in African culture to express compassion, reciprocity, dignity, harmony and humanity in the interests of building and maintaining community with justice and mutual caring. Ubuntu is not just an African philosophy but a spirituality and an ethic of African traditional life. In a classroom set up, this culture is very important it creates a good learning environment. It should apply to both the teachers and the learners.The teachers should understand how to construct learning environments which are appropriately contextualized, and communicate effectively showing recognition of and respect for differences in values. The learners should also show the culture to the fellow learners through assisting with their needs.

b) In the life of a person in general

This ubuntu culture is very paramount in real life as compassion, reciprocity, dignity, harmony and humanity in the interests of building and maintaining community with justice and mutual caring are very key. People need to show compassion to others in society who are suffering and need assistance.
