Give an example of a sexual act that is natural and therefore moral, according to Sade, but that we would find immoral regardless of whether it is considered natural. Does such an example raise questions about using what is natural as a basic condition of what is moral?
De Sade opposes some of the Natural Law, and states that nature does not care about care the decisions that one’s makes to satisfy their bodily sexual pleasure and he affirms that everyone should have sexual freedom to express their needs without restrictions. However, there are pleasures that people enjoy with consequences to harm social status of others. For example, a wife to man who prefers to practice bestiality exercise his freedom while at the same time demoralizing the wife who they should practice marital traditional sex practice for mutual pleasure satisfaction. It is important to note that sometimes someone’s freedom denies the other person an opportunity to also enjoy their freedom. Natural law therefore scores high to institute the social uprightness for the wellbeing of each person in the society.
