The role of technology & indigenous knowledge in sustainable development (positive or negative –in other words, will the unforeseen impacts that inevitably occur as a result of the current use of technology be the demise of the earth, or will the earth be saved by technological solutions, or should we rather look for answers in indigenous knowledge? Or is the solution to be found in a combination of all these approaches)?

Indigenous knowledge plays role in food production, preserving nature, forestry development, medicine, resource and land management, and ecotourism, climate change and disaster risk reduction, and other sustainable practices. Based on this, technology ought to integrate indigenous knowledge while embarking on the principle of sustainability in making the world a better place than we found it.
