Election is the formal process of selecting a person for public office or of accepting or rejecting a political proposition by voting. Every form of election has three phases namely; nomination phase, candidate selection phase and final vote phase. In nomination phase, each state has to label a certain number of wise men, titled Electors, to appoint the best possible candidates for president.

Candidate selection is accomplished by counting the nominees for example, the five highest maybe selected.  If a majority of the Voters nominated a particular individual, he/she would be named as the President. Finally, the House of Representatives would choose the President from among up to five individuals who received the highest number of nominees by the Voters with each state casting one vote.

Each of these election phases relates to a distinct function that can be achieved using one of the following election approaches: direct election by all voters in a democracy, indirect election by deputies in a representative republic, indirect election for one phase and direct election for another phase and indirect election by separate sets of electors signifying different interests for each phase.
